Affective Consulting started with two partners, Cory and Kevan, looking to make an impact for others through their work, and as our reputation for service and sound hr business support grew, so has our team of dedicated hr professionals. We are proud to work with people who believe what we believe, and help us make an impact on clients through specialized skill sets.

Cory Blair

Founding Partner


  • Cory is passionate about coaching. What truly ignites his spirit is witnessing individuals unlock their full potential. He is deeply committed to assisting others in understanding their essence and paving the way for them to embrace their authentic selves. This profound connection to self-discovery led him to personal assessments and team-building tools, especially the Kolbe Index. To date, Cory has facilitated over 1,700 individual and team assessments, fostering self-awareness and nurturing authenticity within organizations.

    As a dynamic leader, Cory doesn't merely meet the bar; he sets it, especially when it comes to strategic and operational business objectives. His expertise spans culture transformation, talent acquisition, partnership development, career growth, and personal coaching. Leveraging his rich educational background and hands-on experience, Cory crafts tailored solutions for organizations and individuals, ensuring socially responsible outcomes. His accomplishments include designing and instituting corporate training and leadership programs for various Canadian entities. He boasts certifications in PROSCI change management, Kolbe Instinctive Strengths Assessments, Agile Leadership, and also takes pride in being an ICF-certified Coach.

Kevan McBeth

He dedicates himself to empowering organizations, not just as employers but also as pillars of the community and providers of essential services. This people-first approach positions Kevan as a sought-after partner in the Human Resources landscape.

    Kevan is well known for creating environments where everyone feels safe, valued, and included. His efforts across public and not-for-profit sectors have directly impacted the lives of many, particularly individuals with disabilities, ensuring they find fulfilling roles that recognize their worth.

    Over twenty years, Kevan's journey through Human Resources, Equity, Diversity, Inclusion, Corporate Culture, and Social Responsibility has been all about putting people first. Drawing from varied experiences in executive roles across diverse sectors, Kevan brings invaluable insights to the table. He's renowned for weaving together initiatives and programs that truly resonate with individual needs. His people-centred, collaborative strategies consistently yield transformative results.

    Kevan's commitment to Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion (EDI) shines brightly through his multifaceted engagements. His leadership at Creative Options Regina, a charity deeply attuned to personalizing support for individuals with disabilities, stands testament to this. His involvement with the Canadian Down Syndrome Society and the 4-to-40 employment initiative further highlights his dedication to ensuring inclusive opportunities for all.

    As a member of the Metis Nation of Saskatchewan, Kevan champions the cause of Indigenous employment and skill development. His significant contributions to the Interprovincial Association on Native Employment (IANE) and the Canadian Council of Aboriginal Business are rooted in his belief in the importance of diverse voices. Recognizing his tireless efforts, Women of Influence Magazine celebrated Kevan as one of Canada’s Diversity Champions in 2012.

Mark Hillmer

  • As a strategic risk leader and trusted business advisor, Mark has had the privilege to work with clients from across North America, delivering value by taking a practical, risk-based approach to internal audit and a ‘People’ approach towards Human Resources.

    Mark’s most valued professional experience has been the ability to work with, learn from, and coach a number of outstanding Human Resources, Internal Audit and risk management professionals. Mark has experience auditing a variety of processes as a part of the audit function, identifying and evaluating risk, and developing and innovating new corporate-wide programs when he designed and built the SaskPower ERM program from scratch, working with the CEO, Executive team and Board of Directors on their expectations and requirements of the program. Mark is a Chartered HR (CHRP) Professional.

Jenelle Krahenbil

  • Jenelle is an experienced HR leader with a passion for people and culture. She holds a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from University of Regina, diploma in Adult Education and holds a Certified Compensation Professional designation. Throughout her career Jenelle has helped design and lead the implementation of an intentional leadership culture for a large organization, re-designed compensation frameworks and managed several large corporate projects.

    Jenelle is a quiet leader who leads with strength, poise, empathy and concern for others. She is passionate about supporting young women in their own growth and development and enjoys coaching and mentoring others.
